After leaving college with a Triple Distinction* in Business, I spent five years at Clarks Shoes, leading the Children's department. It was there I discovered that what I enjoyed most wasn't selling shoes, it was building relationships with children, helping them feel confident, and making everyday moments special.

That experience inspired me to become a teaching assistant. Just three weeks into the role, I knew I'd found my calling and asked my headteacher, "How do I become a teacher?" That conversation led me to complete a degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), graduating with First Class Honours.

Since then, I've taught across every primary year group, served as a school governor, and led subjects including Maths, PE and Computing.

​

Throughout my career, I've seen the growing challenges many children and families are facing. Parents often tell me they feel overwhelmed, unsupported, or unsure how to help their child thrive, whether that's within school or through home education.

​

That's why I wanted to create a different kind of learning experience and how Lightbulb Learning was born.

​

My aim is to provide personalised support that helps children rediscover a love of learning. Every child is an individual and therefore learns differently. I believe education should be engaging, meaningful and built around their individual strengths and interests.

​

Some of the most powerful learning happens away from worksheets and textbooks. It comes through hands-on experiences, creativity, curiosity, and those unforgettable moments when everything suddenly clicks.

Helping children reach those moments is what inspires me every day.
