OUR HUB
Our aim for the Lightbulb Learning Hub is to create a comfortable space where children can shine. Combining the structure and resources of a classroom with the warmth and familiarity of home, it bridges the gap between school and home learning.
Thomas Edison spent only a few of his early years in formal schooling, receiving most of his education at home. A biographer once noted: “His mother had accomplished what all truly great teachers do for their pupils, she brought him to the stage of learning things for himself, encouraging him to go down the path of what amused and interested him most. It was the very best thing she could have done for this singular boy.”
Every child has the potential to shine; sometimes they just need the right environment to 'flick the switch' and have their own lightbulb moment.

Our aim for the Lightbulb Learning Hub is to support home education families as an independent space that adds structure and resources to complement the flexibility and freedom already at the heart of home learning.
Home education gives children something a classroom timetable rarely can: the freedom to follow their own pace and their own curiosity. It's often in that freedom that a child discovers what truly excites them and it's exactly that spark we want to enhance.
Every home-ed family has their own rhythm and reasons for the path they've chosen; our role is simply to support it. Sometimes a child just needs the right space and the right moment to have their own lightbulb moment.
